I learned about the rockershaft fix in an FE forum about a year ago when I suggested about six possible solutions to a similar set of symptoms. When someone else added the rockershaft oil-hole misposition idea, it instantly made sense and has demonstrated itself to be the most likely reason for an otherwise healthy FE to consume oil. Shoe.
