I think I know what you mean now. I'm an amateur so it takes me longer.
As far as that flat flange on the pipe that bolts to the manifold, I don't think it's purpose is to provide a seal and so I don't think there's even a gasket for it. I believe it's only there to physically mate the manifold to the pipe. The donut gasket provides the seal.
