I run std bore TRW forged 454 Chevy pistons.

I eyebrowed the intake and exhaust valve pockets in with an Isky tool, and reamed out the rod bushing to the .990" Chevy BB size. All works great.

The complication i your case is finding a 454 piston in .043" oversize to fit your block. The Stock 427 bore is 4.233" and Chevy needs something that references to a 4.250" oversize.

What kinda walls are in your block at .060. Any under .090? Do you have reinforced cylinders?
