Here's what I have....67 Cougar GT with 4psd, the 390 has been balanced and all machining done last year, now I'm pulling the engine because of a cam eating problem that I had last fall. I have the Edelbrock heads (mild porting) RPM intake, HS roller rockers/shafts, 10:1 compression, FPA tri-y headers and am thinking about replacing my Edelbrock RPM cam with a Comp Cams or Crane roller cam (hyd or solid).....the car will be used primarily as a weekend cruiser, but will be raced at the drags and road courses on occasion. Any opinions welcome as to durability and performance gains. I built the engine to be fast yet reliable....I want to drive it out of state for shows, flog it at the track, then drive it home. I am not set on brand/model yet...if anyone has any experiences..... Thanks in advance, Brian Crisman 67 Cougar GT 4spd |
