If you put these two manifolds side by side, you will see there are minor differences between the two but close enough for government work. The CJ is not an exact copy as everybody says, the runners are a tad bit narrower and the carburetor flange and plenum are different but it still takes a Holley. Bill Carroll’s Fooorrd V8 Performance Guide says the PI manifold is good for 11 more horsepower. When I put one on my CJ, I noticed an increase in power above 5000 RPM but also noticed a slight drop in bottom end torque.
