| Thanks for the response Dave. Now can you give me a idea of what I can do to find out which oiling system this block has ? Do you know the difference in operating oil pressure between the two blocks. Pat Ganahl's Ford Performance Book states that Bud Gilbert at Louie Unser's engine shop says that FE engines in general need at least 60psi oil pressure at all times---Is this accurate?? Does the centeroiler run more pressure because of the smaller passages? When I get mine hot the oil pressure will fall below 60 and run between 50 & 55 depending on the RPM. Is this adequate?
