C8ME-A 390 block question By mudrunner - 04/25/2001 1:49:09 PM; IP 206.58.190.169 Guys on another board thought I was crosseyed when I told 'em thats what its code was...buts its very clear on the block. Problem is I can't find it listed in any of my code books. I'm trying to find out exactly what it is I have. I thought the C8 prefix made it a '68 block, but a small boss on the engine "looks" (this one is hard to read) like it says 1975. Its a transplant engine and it would have had to come from a truck if it really is that late. No question it is a FE390 though. Any help appreciated to my mystery.
