Hey Gasser, Go to an older hardware store and ask for stovepipe enamel. It usually comes in black and it works very well, I imagine the barbeque paint is probably the same stuff, not sure. I know the old stovepipe enamel stays glossy and is a breeze to put on w/a small brush. Good Luck,
