Joe, What you have is indeed a 427 air cleaner. It may be a repop but could be an original. The air cleaner you have came std on all 67 427 Comets & Fairlanes with 2 x4's. The earlier Galaxies had same aircleaner but with the bird intact. An easy way to tell if original or repop is look at underside where bird would be. If original you will see 3 small circles on bottom side cast into lid. This is where the 3 mounting studs would be If it had the Bird. Sometimes these are quite faint and other times very visible. If a repop its worth 100.00 complete w/filter at best. If Original its worth 150.00 or more. Does the bottom have a small hole cast into it near front of base?
