L-2188 is a forged TRW made 406 piston and the weight is the same as the original cast Sivolite made factory ones. They have a different pin than the cast originals, it is a taper bore like the 427 low riser and are 3.125 long if memory serves me right. The Medium Riser had a shorter pin and has too much end play if used in it. They also feature a thicker head that leaves enough room for flycutting if you want to put notches in them. Be sure to look at the oil ring groove for it is slotted and can crack at the end of the slot where it goes through, but it is not too often a problem as they have extra material added there. If you need oversize pins you can use Oldsmobile ones that are .980 and hone them out.
