yes they will fit in place of the fmx but you better get the right tranny... the c6 for the fe had a different bellhousing and crank pilot... it had a 1.850 crankpilot for the fe engines... well its hard to tell crankpilots.. go to a junkyard and find one out of an 66- ford fe block.. just make sure it fits an fe block.. bellhousings are differnet for the 429,460 and small blocks.....

put a c6 in place of my cruise-o-crap a few years ago.. best thing i ever did... just for fun put a shift kit in... 100 bucks for tranny.. 50 for shift kit... not bad eh?..
