100LL Aviation Fuel vs VP-C14

I just picked up 10 gals of 110 low lead at the airport to try. Been running VP C14 at $8.00 a gallon Paid $2.23 a gallon for the AV gas. $ Has anybody run both of these or just runs AV gas? Do you notice a big difference? Somebody (who was a very biased Chebby boy) told me, "Oh, dont run AV gas! Its not racing fuel! Duh, but he couldn't tell me why I shouldn't run it. Will it hurt my engine? My ET's werent significantly different whether I ran 87 unleaded or C14.
