I have a 69 428 Police interceptor which I machined to accept The cross bolt caps and ARP bolts which are readily available. Align boring is required. It serves a purpose and has the added advantage of fooling the novice when coupled with aluminum 427 cobra valve covers. Along with many many other mods I also use 4 webber carbs with a manifold that has the same raised ribbing as the valve covers. My crossbolt 428 Uses an external Weaver Bros oil pump. With some slick machining, restrictors and lots of new tech parts I oil nicely to 7800 rpm on the street @ 590 horse with an idle of 875. |
